Brand Identity, UI/UX, Experiential Design
Behind the Screens was the 2025 Graphic + Digital Design Graduation Showcase, presented as a sub-show within UFV’s Interpret Festival. Developed over eight months, the playful and narrative-driven identity highlighted the creative and emotional journey of thirty graduating students, supported by a separate online showcase.

The project required a distinctive identity that reflected the GDD program while standing on its own. Through collaborative storytelling, student involvement, and consistent branding across digital and physical platforms, the outcome was a complete system spanning brand identity, collateral, experiential design, and a digital showcase.

The identity featured five playful illustrations representing designers’ emotional states, paired with a bold, expressive wordmark chosen to complement the illustrative style.




A full suite of collateral included posters, invitations, and name tags, extending the identity across print in a cohesive and celebratory way.


The website brought the identity online through a curated digital showcase hosted on the UFV GDD site. Over 20 graduate profiles included headshots that revealed hand-drawn doodles on hover, paired with projects and behind-the-scenes work. Built with a web designer, the site offered a seamless and engaging experience. View the website here.



The in-person showcase carried the identity into physical space, with experiential elements designed to immerse visitors in the narrative and celebrate the graduates' journey.
